Growth Strategist

Growth Strategist

Overview

Overview

The Growth Strategist is the senior strategic owner of client growth.

This role is responsible for designing, owning, and evolving each client’s growth strategy across acquisition, retention, creative, and measurement. The Growth Strategist translates business objectives into clear financial targets, channel roles, budgets, and execution roadmaps, then guides internal teams to deliver against them.

You are the primary strategic advisor to the client and the internal “source of truth” for how growth should happen, why decisions are being made, and how success is measured.

About Flight Performance

At Flight Performance, we partner with ambitious DTC brands to accelerate profitable growth. We work with fashion, apparel, and lifestyle leaders to acquire more customers, more profitably, at greater scale, while building long-term brand equity and loyalty. We are a performance-led, strategy-first agency. We move fast, think deeply, and obsess over business outcomes. Our team operates at the intersection of data, creative, and execution, constantly evolving our approach as the market and platforms change.

  • Monitor performance against forecasts and guardrails, adjusting strategy as needed.

  • Evaluate attribution, incrementality, and measurement frameworks to improve signal quality.

  • Partner with reporting and analytics resources to ensure clients understand performance at a business level.

  • Ensure creative strategy aligns with customer insights, product priorities, and growth objectives.

  • Recommend CRO and PDP optimizations to improve conversion efficiency.

  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to prioritize and implement improvements.

5. Collaboration & Commercial Growth

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with media buyers, creative strategists, and retention specialists.

  • Support new business through audits, opportunity analysis, and strategic pitches.

  • Identify and recommend upsell opportunities (email/SMS, CRO, creative, additional channels) where they drive real value.

  • Share emerging trends, platform changes, and performance insights with clients and internal teams.

Success Metrics (How You’re Measured)

  • Client performance against defined targets (Revenue, nMER, MER, ACoS, CAC, and contribution margin).

  • Accuracy and quality of forecasts and budget pacing.

  • Client retention, satisfaction, and confidence in strategy.

  • Ability to surface and act on growth opportunities proactively.
